We teamed up with Rowan University as part of the Inclusive Healthy Communities Grant. We had a blast going back and hanging by the garden at a group home in Woodstown, NJ. We helped plant and share tips with some new gardeners, the residents and staff of the group home.
We’ve been so fortunate to have the opportunity to be a part of this incredible project. The staff and residents are learning how to grow their own food and then are also having in person cooking classes to learn how to prepare meals out of what they grew right in their backyard.
Education empowers one to have the option to make decisions that can significantly impact one’s overall health and well being. Not just from the better quality of food, but also from the activity and practices themselves. These hobbies have the potential to positively impact all types of things in everyone.
